Great Job GBHS Orchestra Pit
The GBHS production of ‘Annie’ was this past weekend! It was a wonderful production that included many Instrumental Music students. Mr. Hutchison, Mr. Finkbeiner and the orchestra did a great job providing the music!

Jazz Night - May 10! Volunteers are Still Needed
If you have never heard our jazz bands, they are fantastic! Jazz Night is a fun evening with great music. It is a very important fundraiser for our music department. Since we were unable to have the Mom2Mom sale this year, it is doubly important. We really need your participation! Please check your calendar and sign up on the Charms website for Jazz Night.
Tickets for Jazz Night are with jazz band students. If your student is not in jazz band and you want tickets, contact Stacey Tyckoski (see below). They will also be for sale at the door. Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door.
Tables are still available for interested sponsors to purchase. This a great way for local businesses to advertise in our community. If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact Stacey Tyckoski at (810)964-0756, or GBJazzband@gmail.com.
Spring Concert Reminder - May 7
The spring concert is on May 7. Having refreshments during intermission is a nice accompaniment to the evening. We have many open slots on Charms, please sign up to bring something. Also, remember there will be a brief Booster meeting between performances.
Graduation - May 29
The Wind Ensemble and Symphonic band play at Graduation. We need parent volunteers to chaperone the morning practice and the evening performance. Slots are available on Charms to sign up.
Attention Marching Band Parents
The Boosters are looking for volunteer(s) to be in charge of organizing dinner preparations next year. This entails feeding the band students and staff before football games and competitions. Also, if you are already signed up under the Band Program, please go back into your account sometime after 4/1/13 and make sure your rewards are still assigned to the Band Program. I have been told by Kroger that we need to go in and reassign our rewards at this time every year. Plus it wouldn’t hurt to check this periodically throughout the year to make sure your rewards are going where you want them to go.
VG's - Their receipts count toward cash for the band program. Please have the cashier scan your discount card & the "Community Share Points" will show up toward the bottom of your receipt. Just put the receipts in an envelope, label it "VG's receipt" and then put in the Scrip box attached to the wall located in band room near the outside exit doors.

Congratulations to the GBHS Indoor Percussion Ensemble for their 4th place finish at MCGC Championship. The ensemble had a GREAT run and did one of their finest shows of the season. Great job everyone! Very proud of you!
CONGRATULATIONS to the GBHS Winter Guard ... MCGC Regional A State Champions! Today the winter guard traveled to SCSU to perform one final time in the MCGC State Championship. Scoring a 78.14, the guard took 1st place in Regional A. The show was amazing! Congratulations to all the students, parents and staff, for all your hard work and dedication this season. We are so proud of you!
The Mom2Mom Sale scheduled for April 26, 2014 is cancelled due to conflicting events in Grand Blanc, and a shortage of participants. Hopefully, we will be able to reschedule the fundraiser for a later date.
